Originally designed by William Waters in 1882 and opened in 1883, Oshkosh’s Grand Opera House attracted acts from across the U.S. from Broadway musicals, Vaudeville acts, to local theatre groups and musicians. The Oshkosh Opera House Foundation took over the management of The Grand in 1989. Since then, fundraising efforts have restored, yet modernized, the 660 seat European-flavor theatre showcasing some of the best national and international talent touring today. Ganther renovated the former Administrative Offices into a lounge area for patrons in 2010.
