Occupying a site near the Chicago River, this historic structure is considered a fine example of the art deco style. The project's scope consisted of a complete remodel of the existing 17-story, 76,600 square foot structure and a new 25-story, 103,000 square foot tower addition on the adjacent vacant parcel. As a whole, this new complex would offer a mix of commercial and high-end residential space. The tower addition was designed to complement the existing structure while providing enough contrast that the historic facade could remain clearly discernible.
